In the spotlight is a player who could turn a game in an instant with his close skill and super quick footballing brain. As of January 2019 he is now the club Manager.

RICKY GEORGE

Next in the spotlight is a gentleman without whom, as is about to be explained, our club arguably wouldn't exist in the form that we know it today.

COLIN "PADDY" POWELL

Oh yes, childhood memories - next is a player even today known  simply as “Paddy”. Colin Powell, a superb winger, the type of player every team should have.

ALF D'ARCY

In the spotlight is a very special gentleman who was “The Governor” in the 1950's at Underhill. A legend in the amateur game and perhaps the best centre half in England never to turn Professional. He is one of the players that are the foundation stones for our football club.

CURTIS WESTON

200 games for a club is a milestone in football these days and not many players have broken that barrier at Barnet in the last two decades – Joe Devera and Ismail Yakubu are the most recent. I have been meaning to write a piece on Curtis for a while now and this seems the right time.

NICKY EVANS - Happy Birthday 6th July

 In the spotlight is Nicky Evans who to this day is revered as an icon at our club due not only to his abilities as a footballer but also his overall impact of image and personality. Such was this persona he was dubbed "God" by Bees supporters in the 1980's. I also hereby declare that Nicky is my all time favourite player from Underhill's history – Reckless. 

STEVE BRINKMAN

A midfielder, sadly no longer with us, voted Player of the Year 1980-1 for his outstanding ball skills and pure entertainment value during what were rather lean years for the club.

MICK BODLEY

Involved in two promotions with the club - a centre back oozing class who knew where the goal was too – even his own on occasions!

ISMAIL YAKUBU

A central defender who nearly made it into a very prestigious list of Barnet players but nonetheless still a very fine servant to our club.

KEVIN DURHAM

Winning promotion to the Football League 1991 was exhilarating, not a care in the Barnet FC world, then something happens to bring everybody associated with the club back to earth.

GERRY WARD

Midfield Generals? We have had many candidates but this gentleman was probably the ultimate, with style and coolness – and this is my tribute to him.

LINVOY PRIMUS

Linvoy was perhaps the finest centre back to wear Amber and Black over the last 20 years We were fortunate to witness his early development as a player before he successfully made the step up to Premiership level with Portsmouth in 2000.

LEE HODGES

A versatile player who formed exciting partnerships with both Dougie Freedman and Sean Devine – not a bad entry on a CV!

KEITH ALEXANDER

This gentleman was a pioneer in the game and had two seasons at Underhill in that wonderful GM Conference team in the mid eighties

BEN STREVENS

Next in the spotlight is a forward who is the ultimate players player.

PETER BROWN

Next a player who was recognised as a Player of the Year in 1985 not for scoring goals or saving penalties but for sheer 100% input and a big grin!

BOBBY BROWN

Next in the spotlight is a player who spent only two years at Underhill but was a goal-scoring sensation 

GREG HEALD

Next a central defender who is still to this day the most expensive player ever purchased by the club. He spent nearly six years at Underhill and captained the side to two play off semi finals 

SIMON KING

A superb defender who spent four season as the lynch pin in the Barnet defence while adding some glamour with his boy band looks.

GORDON FERRY

When this gentleman arrived at Underhill, players and supporters alike said "I can't believe we have signed Gordon Ferry!"
